I've had several conversations with employees of YouTube recently, and the subject of bettering the platform comes up in each and every one of them. My one suggestion to them is to remove the dislike button.

Comments that provide actual input, as I mentioned, are a lot more useful for telling people where they might improve than "I don't like this thing you did." I imagine everyone would agree on that point.

I feel like we're talking in circles here. I believe the only reason to remove a dislike button is if you really don't feel confident in the material you're posting... Sort of takes away the possibility of learning the truth.
