Just used @YouTube to stream my drive home. Effectively using YouTube as my dashcam.
As soon as I hit the "stop" button, I recieve 2 emails from @TeamYouTube , saying there were copyright claims.
Wouldn't I have to be trying to make money, for that to even matter?

No. Copyright laws don't care whether you're making money from it or not. Some musicians and labels do allow you to use their work as long as you don't monetize, but they're in the minority, sadly.

Found the whole thing strange. I had the radio on. Lol. It was a classic rock station. One of the songs was even a Cheap Trick song. Go figure.

It happens to people all of the time. Copyright terms are ridiculous now too. Life + 70 years? That's insane. Sorry for the rant.
