Please Resign as your tweet is a direct insult to our very justice system . Based on the evidence a jury of 12 convicted the accused . Plain and simple . What's next ,will you defend the homeless bank robber ?????

Surely you must be aware that Indigenous people in this country frequently do not experience justice in the system as it exists now. This is not new, it's well known and exhaustively documented. It must change, and I think this is simply an acknowledgement of this fact.

Under Section 40 of the Criminal Code,the defence of dwellings, “everyone who is in possession of a dwelling house is justified in using as much force as necessary, to prevent any person from forcibly breaking into or entering the dwelling house without lawful authority."
