Decriminalization doesn’t go far enough. It doesn’t change the fact that organized crime is the source of drugs in this country. The drug supply needs to be regulated. Along with decriminalization.

Thank you for highlighting this emergency. It will take all of us working together to address the many intersections and ways we need to move ahead urgently for this generation and the next. The trauma and devastation for each loss ripples in our communities.

As the mother of a recovering addict (2 years clean), we need more addiction treatment programs, counselling services, acceptance as a medical condition, & mental health funding. Access is very limited, expensive & often ineffective w/o a multifaceted approach.

Safe drug source and decriminalized system has worked very well in other countries like Portugal and we can follow them and adjust accordingly to our community standards
