The way care homes are run needs to be overhauled. Too many of them can point to the regulations and say they are doing everything right, when clearly visible they are miserable places abusing their residents. Health authorities will not hold them to account. I have stories.

Thank you for all you have done and are doing. Very sad what is happening to our seniors in these homes. And the need for support and some actions taken. We moved in with my mother-in-law , 20 years ago, to support her and keep her in her home. Seniors are important.

I believe today is Physician Appreciation Day. Dr. Philpott exemplifies the very foundation of medicine, that being compassion and care for your fellowman. So Happy Physician Appreciation Day Dr. Philpott, your example sets the standard high for generations to reach for!

I hope the sunshine lasts for a very long time. Hopefully there are many lessons learned and shared. We have to figure a way of lessening the vulnerability of these homes. These workers are true heroes.

Watching money going to landlords for renters. Anyone document what is cost recovery versus profit margins for landlords? Do taxpayers (Govt pool funds) need to contribute to profits, why?
