Final question this appears to only cover salary up to $57k. Great if I live in rural Canada. But..in downtown YVR my cost of living means most are on higher salaries. Fairness would be cutting govt employees at all levels to the same $57k especially those not working. Thoughts?

Also as I read the rules the wage benefit is taxable unlike other countries. So this works out to about a 54% subsidy after tax. Is that right?
