I hear politicians speak to the rule of law. The rule of law is vitally important, as is the right of lawful protest & safety for all. We also need to understand rule of law in the context of the experience of Indig. peoples in Canada. I have spoken about this incl. in testimony:pic.twitter.com/pQ3azqhofE

This situation erupted because of disagreement within a community. "For change to occur, communities must go through their own processes of empowerment and local transformation, through healing, rebuilding & capacity development"

I note the Govt is intent on dialogue in ON and BC. While the Leader of the Opposition has called on the feds to direct the RCMP to enforce the law. Your views on these two diff approaches would be helpful.

Mr Scheer has no understanding of the issue, the feds have no power to direct the RCMP in BC to do anything. As it should be

She can’t.. ethics, rules and whatnot. Trudeau wouldn’t have had to give her permission to do so. And we know he’s above transparency and process.

Protestors have the right to protest, but that right does not extend to allowing them to shut down our rail system. It doesnt allow them the right to deny people from entering public buildings. That's my issue with all of this.

Thank you for sharing your insights, well said! It is discouraging to hear people using the “rule of law” to dismiss protesters that have been failed by the law. Unconscious bias is one of the hardest things to get at” Ruth Bader Ginsberg

Injunctions are law; they need to be obeyed by all Canadians irrespective of their Canadian experience good or bad. Failure to do so has consequences and we impatiently await the RCMP to do their job so those consequences are applied and the rest of us can carry on. Basic stuff.
