  I remember being at Auschwitz with a group from Vancouver. In one of the exhibits were a large container...clear glass front facing with 3000-4000 shoes (women children men)...that once belonged to human beings. EACH PAIR ACTUALLY WORN BY A PERSON... PERISHED.
