Apalling! Bank of Montreal needs to clean up their act! Disgusting behavior by BMO. I am not indigenous but in my opinion BMO is generally clueless about customer service. This is totally unacceptable!

So sad and tragic. And unnecessary. I can’t fathom the impact on the twelve year old and the humiliation of the grandfather.

Everything about this is ridiculous. Especially handcuffing a 12 year old girl. Seriously. The bank and the police have to look at their responses.

White people with $30K in the bank? Have a great day sir. FNMI people with $30K in the bank? The cops will be here shortly to arrest you and your 12-year-old grandkid ‘cause this can’t be right. Sickening.

I was Mgr, Aboriginal Bnkng-B.C./YK in the 90’s in this bldg. This is shocking and hopefully a freak aberration with just consequences. In the 90’s, BMO profoundly shifted as an institution to be a bank of choice for FN’s. They did well. I was there. I hope they make this right.
