I have long believed in the essential necessity of our judicial system operating as it should—based on the rule of law and prosecutorial independence, and without political interference or pressure. (1/3)

2019 began with very public questions about the rule of law in our country. I am glad to see it end with that principle being upheld. The justice system did its work. It is time to move forward and for the company to look to its future. (3/3)

There is nothing in today’s deal that would not have been in a well crafted DPA. The govt lost out on an opportunity to ensure they had oversight going forward. A loss. Not a win.

SNC will still be getting government contracts, no ban. 10 crucial witnesses, including yourself, have been gagged from speaking to investigators. Honest AG, yourself, was inappropriately removed from office. Gov investigation was a sham run by LPC in power. Not good.

That said, what little that did happen, is only possible thanks to you and your sacrifice for justice. You have my gratitude.

So if we leave this to unelected prosecutors what role do our elected leaders play then?

Did I read that right...All charges dropped? I think SNC is dancing right now...this is a way better deal than DPA?

Sure, but a prosecution agreement would have resulted in a similar outcome, but with additional guarantees. Accountability certainly wasn't being taken off the table.
