If you think Medicare for All is too expensive, here's your reminder that the US is currently slated to spend $52,000,000,000,000 on health care over the next decade. That's with no changes to our current, for-profit system.

Probably doesn’t include the cost of the current (and future!) pandemics 💀

Too bad Democrats and Republicans are united in CRUSHING Medicare for All. It would be great, especially during a pandemic.

That's because the Drugs companies & Insurance companies run your hospitals, pay your doctors, pay commission to doctors to subscribe their drugs. It's almost criminal but unfortunately they have powerful lobbyists along with many other greedy profiteering companies in the US.

And remember that we just shut down huge parts of the economy to fight an illness and spent a trillion dollars for a one-time stimulus ... twice, if you count the “tax cut.”

Confession: the pandemic and our crap response to it, has given me an entirely new perspective on MFA or some version of healthcare not attached to employment.

TBH, I don't think a euro-style healthcare can work well in the US because of toxic individualism and how costly chronic conditions like obesity are so prevalent in the US. Still, M4A is much better than crap we have now, and I stand by it.
