Antivaxers' (and quacks') faith in their immune systems to protect them from every pathogenic microbe is so touching. They really seem to believe that if you just eat and do the right things you'll be like Superman, immune to deadly disease. Magical thinking at its most magical!https://twitter.com/Proverbs1_7/status/1037587978674040832 …
IF you were a good doctor you would know that actually, Yes, the body is very magical. It's amazing how it works. I don't claim to think there is no risk in not vaccinating, but I see a higher risk in vaccinating. Weighing risk and benefit

How many people have died directly from vaccines vs how many people have died from diseases that we have vaccines for?

Too late: 5. All super healthy, they hardly ever get sick and when they do they get it over it quickly. No asthma, ear infections, allergies, ADHD, developmental delays, I have kids in the gifted and talented program at school. You see this a lot in unvaccinated populations

Bodies aren't "magical." If they were people wouldn't used to die at the ripe old age of 35.

A car is also magical, if you have no clue how it works.

As is a computer or any other piece of modern technology. As Arthur C. Clarke put it, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." The same is true of any technology or biology if you don't understand it.

Risk assessment involves actual facts if it is to be of any use. Magic has no part of that.

You really have no idea WTF you're talking about do you? 'Very magical'? The dark ages ended some time ago, try to keep up.

I don't mean magical in the technical term. I mean the body is amazing in the way that it works. Vaccines are a nice concept but they do carry risks, risks I do not with to take. I have the right to informed consent
