On behalf of veterans with PTSD On behalf of immigrants & refugees who fled war On behalf of the climate On behalf of those fed up with the military industrial complex On behalf of taxpayers On behalf of anyone trying to have a conversation in SF this week I ask: Why?

American service member killed in Afghanistan since 2001: 2,448. Progressives are outraged, but powerless to stop it. US citizens killed in San Francisco by overdose since 2020: >> 1000 Progressives have the power to stop this, but do not. And are silent. Why?

Maybe you don't realize this but progressives don't run the city. Mayor Breed does. She is not a progressive and never has been. She represents the interests of Pacific Heights, and the various businesses labelled tech as well as the non profit industrial complex. Get it right.

“We demand legalized dealing. It requires addiction services.” Mayor: “You can't have it.” “We'll continue to enable this massacre to continue until you do.” The mayor is feckless. What are the
@DSA_SF who support this continued slow motion massacre until their demands are met?1 reply 1 retweet 2 likes -
It starts at the top. The Mayor is happy to use the epidemic and homeless crisis to make people angry to gut building regulations for her developer donors. What exactly does DSA SF control?

A progressive DA brought prop 47. A progressive DA supports it. Legalization of dealing is a *national* progressive party agenda intended to ‘address the failed war on (MJ!) drugs and over incarceration’ Meanwhile, SF: lowest dealer incarcertation rates. Highest OD mortality.

SF Footgun @stuz5000Something something fentanyl. Something something a national problem. These stories overlook that overdose mortality went vertical immediately after prop 47 made dealing a misdemeanor, and was before fentanyl exploded in SF. https://twitter.com/stuz5000/status/1404872498181672962 …Show this thread2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

I'm not GOP. I don't like the mayor. I want many of the reforms you want. But holding a city hostage, continuing to enable a massacre of people - a thousand a year, until you get what want? I can't stand behind this, or the other flagrant hypocrisy. It's simple cowardice.

Like I said. It starts w/ the Mayor. She wants safe injection sites. She also is crushing of regulations of building codes for luxury condos. We have had 4mayors in a row who were corrupt and owned my PH just like her. They blame progressives when they are the problem.

Ok. I believe you. Then call her out. Perhaps one day a SIS miracle will happen. Stop using her to apologize for the things under
@DSA_SF control- as non-prosecution of dealers. It is shameful deceitful cowardice to not own the current situation regarding drug dealing.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
The same thing was happening with the hand picked Breed appointed DA before Boudin. This is hardly new. When he goes, who does she put in? Come on. Google Shrimp Boy, FBI, and gift cards. You will find the problem.

You can do it… come on… you can call @chesaboudin a progressive AND ascribe at least some blame to him for failing to enforce the city’s laws and indirectly causing at least some fentanyl overdose deaths
