I’m not sure. I don’t know if drugs were legalized say 30-40 years ago whether we’d have a shit ton more addicts, dependents and general derelicts than we do today. I’d prefer not to be the county that experiments with it though. However, I’m willing to give up SF for the cause.

Interestingly, while prohibition was reversed, alcohol contributes to more deaths than anything else outside of smoking and maybe obesity. It’s difficult to outlaw stupidity, I guess

Important to notice the effects on society today of this iron law. With teenagers preferring liquor in this country compared with adults and teenagers of other countries preferring beer or wine, these "softer" less potent alcohols are less dangerous & overdoses are less frequent.
