Does this effect incoming email?

There may be issues if a Russian mail server is trying to send email to ProtonMail, but all traffic outside of Russia is unaffected. We are working on getting the ban removed.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. Those who use ProtomMail definitely know how to get around those blocks. And Russian government consists of the least reliable people, so no use in negotiating anything with them.

While I get where you're coming from, I think (hope) that claim that any ProtonMail user knows their way around the blocks is far-fetched at this point. I should hope PM became mainstream enough for technically not savvy people to use it.
