Do you consciously experience proprioception? As a distinct sense?

well, vision and hearing are not distinct senses (cf. McGurk effect, etc)

I probly have one, but my body pose presents to consciousness as if it's inferred from other senses rather than sensed directly.

I don't have direct exp. of body pose being spindle cells vs skin, same way I don't directly exp. vision as left eye vs right

I can have my leg go asleep from sitting funny, no cutaneous sensation but still able to walk and sense weight in some way

ahh, yeah that's a good one. I sill experience that as me guessing (like blindsight maybe)
