I can't tell you how much I love R. I think learning how to analyze big data (which involves coding) is much more useful than this push to get everyone to code or to get everyone to be "makers". Good Data Analysis => Better Decisions => Better Actions All IMHO of course.

To summarize all my students who created new twitter accounts COULD NOT FIND @professorf (didn't autocomplete even if they typed in the ENTIRE username). All students with existing accounts easily found me. LOL, so add that to your list of sneaky ways Twitter shadow bans.

Yep Twitter is still Shadow Banning users labeled as wrong think. But their new trick is to prevent your username from Auto completing for new users. Students that already had a Twitter account could find my username new users could not. What a bunch of sneaky jerks at Twitter

The challenge is that they're not allowed to do political or any "sensitive=topic" memes. So it's all PG-13 stuff. I tell them, "If your Grandmother would approve, then you can maybe post it, otherwise, no".

Yes! Fall break is over, and the second half of the semester begins. For the first time ever I'm teaching a 2nd-half, 8-week course (on Internet Memes & Digital Media). I can't wait!

I always hate it when there are a couple of minutes left and the opposing team uses all 4 downs on every possession. You just know Cincinnati is going to beat the #Steelers with a last minute touchdown. Sad. #HereWeGo
