Letter from a (white?) reader: Baltimore “was once a dream city” before the squeegee kids started “terrorizing” commuters. Getting some overwrought rants in the mail today.https://twitter.com/DanRodricks/status/1051083369449234433 …

I have never been terrorized by a squeegee kid. I may give a polite "No" and they move on. Makes me wonder how those who feel "terrorized" treat them.

Same. I saw some problematic squeegee guys in New York in the 1990s but not here now.

I guess in your egocentric universe, if it never happened to you it never happened to anyone else. Or if it did, it was his or her fault. Unbelievable.

Ease up Dave. I stated a fact. It never happened to me. I have seen some drivers treat them rudely. I do offer thoughts and prayers to anyone if they were treated unjustly.

Fair enough. But that's you, Big Bob. The implications of others was that victims of harassment must have been to blame. The assumption that all squeegee kids are the same is about as rational as the assumption that all folks on this thread are the same. I've never been abused..

And by the way. It was not my implication. It was your inference.

Weirdly I got trolled about squeegee more brutally than I have about Trump in many days. Evidently a hot-button issue for some.
