    Certainly a teachable moment for my Ss today, & they were stunned when given context. Talk about a performance full of multicultural richness. Our country must learn to appreciate the cultural gems all around us. We need to humble ourselves and ask more questions sans judgment!

    Btw this dance is called Champeta and it is originated in Shakira’s hometown of Branquilla Colombia! It’s respected for its footwork and it’s an important part of Colombian culture 💃🏼

    Zaghrouta: an Arab tradition used to express joy at celebrations & an homage to ’s Lebanese roots ❤️ This year’s halftime performance was more than a performance. It honored underrepresented cultures, made a political statement, and empowered so many across the 🌍

    So , we started Guapo in 7th grade Spanish yesterday (spoiler, obsessed w/ it). Getting ahead of myself here since we have more work to do on the story, but how is this visual looking for a display for future game of The Last Word? Can't wait.

    Retrieval, spacing and interleaving are powerful strategies to boost memory. That’s why I love to create stories with my ss in class where we describe characters that wear clothes, live in houses, have families, go to places, have problems and may have happy endings
