    See my lecture 'Scientific Use of the Imagination' at Liverpool in 1870

    Hanks: educational writings emphasised the importance of the imagination in science.

    I would have disagreed with this. I saw poetry as replacing the function of religion

    Lovely to see so many papers reasserting a 19thC refusal to differentiate between science and poetry. Take that consilience.
