Why? These are 'inflammatory diseases' - ie they involve the immune system. Diet --> Microbiome --> Cross-reactive immune disease Eventually I think we'll find some of these are linked to a single protein target; while others will be more 'global cytokine' effects.

I do have this, thank you. Found the scientific chapter v useful. Interesting to see Tim taking it all way back to the womb, breastfeeding then weaning. In particular, easy to see how weaning onto cereal or jars of processed carbs is setting things up for failure from the start

WAY cool…I was wondering how long it was going to take alpinist’s to figure this out. This dietary approach would be a total game changer for mountain climbers, for sure! I will be eager to see how this turns out. ...

🙄😂 Funny isn’t it, that after more than 2 years eating fatty meats including organs, my ‘progressive’ MS has much improved - my energy more than doubled and my walking ability best it has been for years. Stronger than ever, no colds and nothing else wrong with me. I’m 69.

As said, regarding doctors, "If results mattered, many would be unemployed." (Nutritionists & dietitians, too.) We should demand better, as "consumers"/customers of healthcare services. We would not accept this failure rate in any other industry.

In addition, children on keto for epilepsy are also put on low protein to improve ketone levels. I've always wondered if the low protein has effect on it since we need protein to build bone. And vitD via the right fat sources.

Depends what part of the country you live. State Medicaid programs track children's BMI, southern states are 70% overweight/obese. Overweight is BMI 25 and up.

I quit smoking. More difficult socially than physically. Never had frank withdrawal symptoms. Quitting Diet Coke was very hard. I had the shakes, didn't sleep the first night. I don't have an urge to partake in either. But I have to fight having sugary foods on a daily basis.
