  3. While in Umuahia, I visited the National War Musuem commissioned in 1989. It was established to preserve the relics of the Nigerian Civil War and serve as a memorial to the soldiers, civilians and other casualties of the Civil War and other conflicts in Nigeria.

  4. The last 50 years belonged to us, but the next 50 belong to our children and we must unshackle them from ghosts of ancient grudges & grievances. By their conduct, our children show us that it is possible to forge friendships, let us give them a chance to do better than ourselves

  6. In the 50 years that have followed since the end of the war, we have invested in national integration, peace building and reconciliation. That has been a lot less than perfect task. Even with challenges, those setbacks should not induce hopelessness or despondency.

  8. The generations born after the Civil War are navigating the adventure of being Nigerian on different terms from their forebears. By intermarrying, migrating and comingling in the quest for love and livelihood; they are forging alliances in business, civil society and politics.

  10. Nigerian start-ups attracted $122 million out of the $492 million in funding to the African start-up sector in 2019. For example, Kobo360 which aggregates end-to-end haulage operations raised $30m in a Series A round led by Goldman Sachs and Nigerian commercial banks.

  15. A true leader and pillar of his church and community, Revd. Andimi remains an inspiration to us all. Just like the President has said in his statement, we remain committed in our mission to defeat these terrorists. And we shall, as we relentlessly work towards a safer Nigeria.

  16. Words fail me as I share my heartfelt sympathy with the family of Rev. Lawal Andimi. The senseless killing of the bishop despite ongoing efforts to secure his freedom further reiterates the callous and irrational nature of the Boko Haram terrorists.

  18. Rarely do we come across men like Chief Adebisi Akande. A visionary leader and advocate of democracy, his contributions to the development of Osun state and Nigeria are unforgettable. Happy Birthday to a titan.

  19. Whenever Nigeria calls, No matter the danger or circumstances, you answer the call. We thank you for your sacrifice and the sacrifices your families pay for our continuing liberty. It is a debt we can never repay.

  20. I may be biased but I am impressed by the quality, scope of work and thoughtfulness behind the initiatives driven by the Law Students Association of Nigeria. Young Nigerians have roles in building the Nigerian enterprise & I am glad LAWSAN is driving a campaign that contributes.
