I think the argument would also have to expand to tackle the fact that the Life in the UK test is based on what they think a general UK education offers knowledge of. I had flaming arguments during my studies in the UK because peers would repeat the lies they were taught:

The history certainly needs to be broader, but even that narrative skirts round the cold (very cold) hard cost/benefit analysis of imperial systems as the world shifted and lines of production and GDP revenue shifted with it. Most - nearly ALL - narratives don't even bring it up.

I found some of the answers in the handbook biased or historically inaccurate, but had to learn them the way they were in order to pass the test.
