Yes, I know there's a lot of other stuff on, but this modest tweet is plugging the consultation on what is genuinely a once in a generation review of mental health law in Scotland. Please share and respond!

This could have particular benefits for lone parents, disabled people and carers who face higher poverty rates than the population as a whole. Housing, social security and work all need to serve as anchors for people on low incomes against a tide of insecurity.

And here’s a reminder ⁦⁩ ⁦⁩ of why affordable homes and rents make a vital contribution to Scotland’s lower rate of child poverty than the UK as a whole. And why we must not put this record at risk. ⁦

Well🤣. Much good it’ll do them on the “international recognition” front. Imagine binning that iconic word “nursing” in the centenary year of professional nursing. Has their marketing and communications department got no fear?

The fact that people like Janet and Charcot were able to look at FND and hit the mark in important ways (even if everything wasn’t right) is just astonishing. A great example of “we’re not necessarily always smarter than our ancestors, we just have more shoulders to stand on”

I worked in a govt building in the late 90s and even then they had sensors so that if no one moved in an area lights went off. The conclusion is obvious. There are people in the office and they are working. But hey, nothing beats sneering at the civil service for the clicks.
