Thoughts on the drive home from #SMH2021: our panel (organized by @ProfPaul_J ) was the only panel on any pre-modern topic. There were just two other papers in the whole program before 1700.

Please encourage your premodernist colleagues to organize panels and submit proposals! The Program Committees want them; the number of premodern sessions on the program is a function of the number of proposals received.
