Playing Dominaria Pre-prerelease and loving it makes me want to do more Magic videos, but I feel like too small of a fraction of my audience cares? It's more that the people who don't care complain about me making a video that isn't "for them" than the audience being too small
It's a struggle with any kind of production. Putting out a video saying "hey here's a thing j want to talk about" and seeing tons of comments saying "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO TALK ABOUT ___". For example, the sheer number of Final Fantasy comments on the last video I did.
That's a rough space if you're not willing to completely abandon "the algorithm". Those videos will still be loved by some, but the negative effect on numbers can make them demoralizing. Is it too much work/spreading to make an extra channel for them?
Having two channels already seems like too much work, can't imagine a third.

Do what you love. I didn’t think people wanted to hear about birds or D&D but gosh I was wrong. People will appreciate your enthusiasm and enjoy the video because it’s something you care about. Also don’t read the comments. Lol

Only read the comments if it’s ok for your mental health and you know the majority of people support you despite a few negative voices!! Lol
I know it doesn't solve the larger problem (as a full time streamer I can relate) but for what it's worth I watch anything you put out, even if it's a game or something I'm not interested in, because your content is always entertaining and a blast to take in good sir. 
At the end of the day, it's your Youtube channel and whatever you decide to put up is up to you. It's a shame if people aren't going to be into the stuff you are in, but there are going to be people out there who do!
It won't be as much fun if you played a game that people suggest and you are not into it.
I would absolutely love to see you do more Magic videos.
Do what you like. I've enjoyed a lot of the non-mainstream videos you've put out about things you love more than the major games like FF and stuff, personally.
For what it’s worth, I’d love to see some more MTG videos. I’ve been a fan of Magic for such a long time, but I haven’t found any great YT video series about it. Card games are awesome, and with the right setup and one of my favorite Yotubers, I’m sure I’d be hooked :)
If you enjoy it, it'll show in your work! I didn't know I wanted @brutalmoose to do food videos until he did and they're hilarious. You've gotten me and several friends into Dungeons and Dragons along with Monster Hunter. Your passion is what makes your best videos!
Solution: Make what you want, and don't read YT comments. YT commenters are dumb. Your real supporters are happy to see anything you make that you care about and that you're passionate about. People aren't entitled to you making one thing over another.

It's easy for me to say, "You do you!" as a fan with little knowledge about the business of YouTube, so I wish I had something more poignant to say. But for whatever it's worth, I'm always interested in the things you want to talk about because I value your thoughts and insights.
I understand this on a spiritual level. As a JRPG central channel...playing 60-80hr plus games...I can't get to them all. At the end of the day I talk about what I want because it makes me happy. If Im not happy no videos about anything. Life is too short man.
