they were a family before all this anyway
stupid barmy bad magic means nothing.

Yeah, I wouldn’t even call it “Evelyn’s” ritual: the bond they all already shared, Vistani magic or not, was not just ship fodder, it was deep, self-sacrificial, familial. To trivialize that to “now kiss” as if everything it meant has changed doesn’t feel right even to shipper me
-
I think most agree with you. Most of us were just panicking over the idea that we missed something that apparently was obvious imo. I want whatever happens to the crew to happened when/if it’s right. I feel like a forced marriage would drive Strix & Diath apart, not together
-
I worry the same.
-
It was certainly not my intention for this to become ship fodder. This was a horrifying realisation, not one which made me happy. The party was played, and this is an outcome that has made life significantly worse for them all.
-
That was certainly the feeling I got out of it. There is basically nothing good that came out of the hidden aspects of the ceremony. The party got tricked into a multiverse binding bonding that has incredibly damaging implications.
-
That aside, I think it just accelerated things. I think it was only a matter of time before the skizziks came for Strix. She is the “most powerful”

Yes THANK YOU The ritual may have bound them, but they were played by Van Richten. It certainly wasn't consensual, and using it as ship fodder does nothing but ignore everything else that happened Strix and Diath would not want this. If anything this may tear them apart
-
I don't think anything you posted made it ship fodder. You posted a very well thought out theory that was actually really upsetting cause it just adds more mess to our crew's lives, but at least gives us some possible explanation to what Strix's crime may have been. (1/2)

I think that some people are just always going to twist things into ship material, and unfortunately, it just blew up this time ridiculously. Hopefully, a majority of u can say "Hey, no, that's not cool. Chill out" and things will calm down. (2/2)

I think the best part about all this is that Chris just made a vague comment on someone's theory, yet the community exploded as if he explicitly said "Yes, Strix and Diath are now married." And then he just rolled with it as everyone collectively flipped out.
-
And it was a blast, even though I don't *actually* want it to become canon this way. It's deeply cruel to both Diath and Strix.
