The fact is that this was a moment where Diath himself was in distress and screaming. It wasn't Jared acting, it was Diath reacting. The characters feel REAL, there is a part of them that is real, and that's what makes this show so good. And so heartbreaking

I think this is at the very core of why it's so compelling to watch, even without the usual trappings (sets/SFX/costumes/etc) of traditional TV shows and movies. People ask me how I can watch HOURS of just people sitting and talking. This is how.
