@ProJared I had a first-timer GM question I hope you could answer. I made a campaign that has many different paths that merge at the final destination, but made the shortest path blocked off by local guards. Although there are other paths, is that still Railroading? Thanks!

Fair enough. I'll need to go back and write in more on what's going on throughout that path in case they make it through. Would a Charisma DC of say 15-20 be too much if they try to convince the guards to go through? I really appreciate the reply!

DC 15 it is, then. It's not that I don't want them to go through the campaign too quickly, there's just more planned for other paths that I believe would make for a more interesting narrative. That may be my problem as a new GM, though.
