My YouTube strategy has always been a sort of "slow and steady wins the race" type of mindset. I still want to stick to that, as far as making the best video I can each time, but I'd really like to grow my channel more this year. The only question is... How do you do that???
Yeah, seems like drama and current events are the way to grow atm, but I'm not really interested in making content like that.

Yep I think everyone has a bit. I think just that slow realization that what we're doing is incredibly saturated and people aren't as interested in nostaglic game things vs. Memey things content. And if you're not making content fast and High Quality-ish, they don't care as much
While yes people want fast and high quality I don't think you have to try to be memey. Your field has become saturated because you inspire people. The best thing you can be is yourself. Your natural charisma is what I love. I want to "hang out" with you through your videos.
I've been struggling with this question for years. At least you guys can make a living off your channels, you've already achieved success as far as I'm concerned. You've already reached the perfect peak, be happy with the growth you have, because its more then most ever will.
You're also an excellent YouTuber, Jared! You guys truly represent the enjoyable side of YouTube gaming.

I decided to try a different strategy this year. I'm adding a podcast to my content creation schedule to go alongside my videos, and if all goes well I could pull new subs from the project. Heck, maybe I'll kick off a growth loop.
I found every YouTuber I'm subscribed to - including both of you - through collaboration videos/guest appearances, name drops by other YouTubers, and a little bit of word-of-mouth, but never YouTube algorithms. So take from that what you will about trying to game the system.

I personally love the full fledge nostalgic Reviews. Your Two Worlds review was my introduction to the world of non meme, full on game Reviews on YouTube. N PBGs lotR Snes review kept me from making an expensive pawn shop mistake.
I know I’m just one person but love both of you guys’ content. I hate that the work you’re doing doesn’t get more growth because it deserves it. 
Two suggestions: Show some more ankle. Both of them.
