Using third party software that actually is able to control (ie. follow new people) your twitter account for this shit is not cool.

You still choose who to follow, the website doesn't automatically make you follow people you didn't ask to

Thanks for clearing that up. It just stated that you allowed the site/app to ‘follow people’ among other things. Seemed dodgy.

What does it mean when saying gleam.io get to administer my accounts? I don't like the sound of giving someone access to controlling my accounts, which it sounds like it does.

-- I've entered plenty of gleam giveaways and never had a problem. My guess is it's there to check if you follow on Twitter, allow it to tweet about the contest, etc.

Have seem similar but most only have access to look at your tweets and follower. This had access to everything and not only on twittter, but twitch, YouTube etc. just sounded like I would give them too much access.
