YouTube's current model is absolutely punishing for content producers.

Hell, it's overwhelming as a viewer to try and keep up with several videos a day from all my channels trying to support them.

Truth. You end up with a wall of videos you 'want' to watch and only so many hours in the day. Then there's everything else YT does.

I get you hate this, but Patreon is a very stable source of income. After Adpocalypse, its foolish to rely on such a exploitative system.
