Like I understand why advertisers want to avoid malicious or otherwise poor taste content but... NES and SNES games? Night Trap maybe but...

maybe a soap company doesnt want to pay for ads for game channels in which most of the audience may be underage.. or doesnt care about soap

That's how Adwords works though. Advertisers CHOOSE what they get to be in front of. The issues arise when metrics line up with bad things.
