Serious question: if you as a content creator don't have sponsored red content how do YouTube red users benefit you?

YouTube Red money is split among ALL creators. If a YTR users watches my video, I get $ based on minutes watched.

A single YouTube Red view is often worth 10x or more than that of a non-red user, as far as monetization is concerned.

Well all yt really puts out about it is the ad free viewing. I originally got it for the expanded functionality on the mobile app.

According to my analytics I earned way more from YTRed views than regular views. Not sure if that's true for all. But I think so.
