Yeah it's weird how people were immediately sour on it. If they show the E3 hands-off demo to the public people will change their tune.

Everyone I've talked to whose seen actual gameplay is excited, which says a lot. Not sure why they haven't shown that demo publicly yet
-
Hopefully they will! I'm only a MH vet as of 3U. Would love to hear the opinion of a series-long fan (excited for Jared's impressions!)
-
I'm a long time vet. Since the first one. And from what i've seen, my hype is real. Let people talk crap. We can enjoy it. Haha

A "leak" a few months ago suggested as much, and the initial preview didn't show much to disprove it. Glad to hear that's not the case.
-
The only real negative about World for me is that the graphics didn't look super colorful. Looks fun otherwise.
-
The map they showed at E3 is plenty colorful. I think MH4 upped the saturation too much, this feels like a nice naturalistic balance.
-
That's good to hear! I can only judge from the conference trailer. And it certainly didn't look bad by any means, just a BIT washed out
-
Yeah I guess the trailer was geared towards non-MH fans with the unintended side effect of pushing away current fans? It's weird.

They turned their fucking backs on every Nintendo console/3DS owner by refusing to localize MHXX. Fuck World.

I think a lot of people are just upset because XX isn't coming over here for the Switch.

It's the first major reveal of a MH game since it got pretty big in the West. They wouldn't have seen, say, the MH4 reveal which was similar
-
So they don't know that the trailers focus pretty exclusively on new mechanics rather than the whole game

it was a leak that seems to have gotten everything right so far that said Sony paid for Switch not to get MHW and to westernize the series
-
This idea is so dumb. It makes literally 0 sense since it's coming to everything except switch. It's clearly just because of power limits.
-
the logic Ive seen behind it is that Sony doesnt want to lose a foothold in Japan. Xbone doesnt matter there, and its where MH matters most
-
I mean sure, but it's more plausible that the Switch is 1/5th-1/10th the power of the others and would require totally different assets.
