They didn't shut it down fast. They literally waited till the completed game hit the public domain to forever be preserved.

I'm sure the new 3DS game alone would have sufficed as Metroid's 30th anniversary game and far less people would have complained last year.

As true as it is the fan made remake was extremely good though. So even though i am a huge fan of metroid it has a high bar for me

As much as i dislike takedowns, at least it makes sense. Unlike a lot of other takedowns :(

If it's a Metroid game made by Nintendo and not a third party, yeah, I'm pretty sure it'll be awesome.

It LOOKS better from what they are showing so far

AM2R was better than most real Metroids, and the last two official ones were ... not great. But I'm liking it so far and am filled with hope

It's by Mercury Steam. There is a 0% chance it will be better than AM2R.

Yeah, the timing is beyond coincidence. We are all pretty happy about this, though. Well, the ones of us I've gotten ahold of thus far.

I can't wait....this looks to be an amazing remake. LOVE the melee counter they kept showing off.
