Oftentimes I look at my YouTube demographics and get bummed out at how small the percentage of female viewers are.

I'd be curious as well if there is a way to expand the audience, but still make videos on things that interest me personally.
-
Prop Hunt did well. Maybe we just need to be more like bros hanging out, having a good time?
-
Oh God yes. More hang out fun!

Have you considered inviting
@AtelierHeidi on for a miniseries? Or doing something silly like dressing up in one of her costumes to record? -
I agree that Jared should collab more with female YouTubers! Not necessarily me. But definitely supporting girls who have gaming channels

It's rough, bc like others have mentioned, that stigma has pushed some away to the point where they won't even consider games as an option.
-
Even entertaining this thought is a good step, and something many people won't give two shits about. Being inclusive is awesome.
-
I can't speak on behalf of every female identified person ever, but I've never felt pushed away from your channel bc I'm a woman or w/e.
-
(Or at all, for that matter.) This is sth that the industry in general needs to take a closer look at, why the stigma exists at all &
-
how to mitigate that. I appreciate that you don't gatekeep - so many do. Keep up the good work, basically. :)

Unfortunately that's just how it is! There's always a female audience, it's just small... But we're dedicated!
-
There's not really much you can do explicitly to increase female viewers. Just keep doing what you're doing!
-
as someone with two sisters growing up, there were clearly certain games they'd be willing to play/try out more than others....
-
And then oddly they enjoyed playing Tekken 3.
-
I mean, if anything, girl games make good comedy material. Lucahjin and Proton Jon playing America's Next Top Model showed that -w-
-
I more mean games girls tend to like more like RPG's or Zelda, not so much "Doom" or so.

not that this is your fault, but the sheer amount of people replying to you saying "girls don't play games" is really getting me down. ):
-
I feel it. As a beginning game dev it's very disheartening to hear that girls dont play games and when they do its crappy dress up games.
