I've played both, but never finished either. I'm leaning towards Famicom version because I could bring back Peeb, Jerd, Ian and Joof.
Or I should just play through Final Fantasy 3. Not sure if I'd rather do the good DS remake or an english-patched original.

Personally enjoyed the english-patched original. The DS Remake's nice - but call me old fashioned.
