I always go back and forth on using WordPad or something for notes. But i'm just so used to hand-writing that it's cathartic for me!
This is why I'm primarily a player and not a DM. I SUCK at planning.
I did have one highlight as a DM though. Star Wars RPG, 8 hour session, only 1 combat encounter. Rest was pure storytelling.
There were like... At lest 6 to 8 encounters I planned, but the party either talked or found a Plan B out of almost all of them.
Oh! For a moment I thought you were talking about Direct Messages, I was bracing for cringe.
hence why i prefer playing. The problem is that none of my friends know 5e so I'm the only one who CAN DM. ALL I WANT IS TO PLAY
i made an awesome character a while ago and i really just wanna play him
Can't beat a pencil and a lined letter notepad to build worlds. Westhaven's a pretty cool place from what we saw from your game.
did you grind it out yourself, or use the DMG?
Is the series from last year gonna continue this year? It's the same townname
What perfect timing! I just binged HarmonQuest and was considering piecing together my own game. Clearly this is a sign
I'd love à D&December about how to DM
I can respect that you hand write your notes. I can't hand write anymore; when world building I just type out all my notes.
I have like 3 DM Journals I write in periodically. Unfortunately, most of whats in them are very... uh.. spread out.
