To be clear, I'm not advocating policing art. People can draw however they want, of course.

But when they say, "She's much prettier this way" and the only change is the skin color... I really want to ask them why they think so.

Would you be okay with the opposite?

Yes, because brown-skinned people are very rarely represented in any form of media and there's a different power dynamic there.
