Factor in some of the more contradictory rules of MtG and you're truly in hell

it's very annoying, it's great you have such extensive knowledge, but flaunt it to a annoying degree...yeah...your not helping.

I feel like this applies to a lot of nerdy things... I've heard Magic kids talk before though, it sounds exhausting

my first big tournament I realized how "smart" I was about the game was entry level. I lost interest in competitive play instantly

you just gotta ask who has storm crow in their commander deck. Helps filter through the noobs.

Same goes for most card games, really.

first rule of magic tournament: shut the hell up. Second rule: yes. we are all out of Mr Pibb!...

I ended up only playing casually with friends because people got too intense and greedy

This is the reason I don't play Magic anymore.

One time at a magic tournament I wont against someone and he flipped the table on me. I was eight. He was in his twenties.
