You honestly have faith in Konami?

I think the problem with this game is a simple one: It feels like they forced the Metal Gear license onto it

I'm pretty sure zombies are the literal definition of generic when it comes to videogames in 2016.

2015 has tainted me. I hate all zombie related games until proven good.

I think it's still a fair assessment that the trailer is a poor imitation of the kind of trailer Kojima edited himself. Not to

mention that Konami won't treat it with any sort of respect or reverence. I think a lot of the reactions make sense.

its a co-op surivival game set in a alternate universe, its only called metal gear in a poor attempt to milk the license

I feel like it won't be stealth-based considering how the trailer looked. It seems more action-based.

It won't have stealth, it's gonna be a generic wave-based third person shooter with recycled assets, I'm sure of it #FucKonami

It could be fantastic. But given it (seemingly) has no story, characters, or universe of Metal Gear... why call it Metal Gear?

That's my only gripe. It could be a wonderful standalone game, but at what point are you tacking on a brand name for no reason?

aside from possibly being a really good game this kind of genres has a high chance to fuck it up

I know we're supposed to hate it, but this direction makes sense because they can't make a new game about Snake without Kojima.
