  I have a similar issue running specific programs on Windows 7. 3 monitors, 980 gtx's. It's pretty rare for me though.

  I had a similar problem that was caused by windows 10, replaced nvidia drivers with amd ones for no reason. Lot's of crashes.

  easy way to check...use a Linux distro like Puppy to run as a Live CD no install ...if runs fine then hardware good, Windows bad
