Isn't it kind of weird that we automatically associate magic and mages with the mind instead of the body?

The only body-centric example I can think of is bending from the Avatar-verse, since you need forms for that.
@Cheratomo The Shadowrun universe has magic as well, but it can come from a machine-gun wielding orc just as often as a "street magician".

@Cheratomo That being said, I love the idea of some brawly beefington dude being a wicked mage as well. Might use that D&D some time. -
