I getcha, but since it's been years I think us TES fans are just excited to know for sure that they're working on it at all.
Maybe it's too cynical of me, but Bethesda working on another Elder Scrolls game is inevitable. Like, does anyone really think that they *wouldn't* make another? It comes off as very "no shit" to me.

I'm not sure cynicism enters into it. Maybe if your stance was "Who cares it'll probably be bad" that's a different story. If you're just like "Yeah that makes sense." I don't think that's negative in any way, it just feels like it in contrast with the excitement of your peers~

Wish they'd have given us something new at least. The subtitle alone allows for discussion. Now we're looking at a year of "so where's this one taking place?" It was less a trailer for ES6 and more a trailer for E3 2019.

Yeah like “nooooo??? Really?! They’ve been working on the 6th installment of one of their hit series? Who would’ve guessed?!” Like c’mon, it’s like being excited that EA showed a picture of the next Assassin’s Creed with no context of the setting or anything.

Well played. Honestly not super into the series so I really can’t say anything. But you’ve got to admit, a zoom shot and a title doesn’t tell new players much. If you don’t know the series, it doesn’t catch your eye or make you want to spend the money games go for these days.

It is pretty "no shit" but people have been asking for YEARS and I've seen a lot of "All I want is to know they're working on it!" I imagine that's why we got just a logo. To prove they're working on it even though they have nothing substantial to show.

To your question, yes. Apparently a LOT of people were under the impression that TES Online meant no traditional Elder Scrolls game would be made until the MMO was done. This is more of a “Jesus Christ! Yes! Of course we’re making one! Please stop asking!” sort of teaser.

This trailer is basically the equivalent of calling a business & pressing 1 for store hours & directions so you don’t waste a live person’s time with your common questions.

I agree that it's obvious for them to be making another one. But damn, seeing that Logo for Smash Switch was getting me damn hyped, just because it was an official announcement that SH*T is finally starting to get lit again! And I hate writing that, but it's just the most fitting
