As a privacy advocate, I strongly disagree with Kait's conclusion that it's better to stay on FB & fiddle w/settings than deactivate. If we know anythg abt FB, it's accessg info w/o yr consent. Fiddle away but that's the true 'rookie mistake'.

2/2 better question: why can't users truly delete their account? Why offer bogus 'deactivate' as only option? & is FB still gathering data back from Off-FB activity when you have deactivated? Probably.
