Everyone we didn't want to have our personal information, now has it. There are facial rec police robots roaming the streets of CA, flagging people (ICE?). Our "freedom" is blatantly, in our faces, being ripped away, as Americans, day by day. Voting can't be trusted. What's next?

Allowing us to vote just makes it seem like we have a voice. We don't. It's a ride, because at the end of the day, they do whatever they want anyways and make it seem that the "majority" voted for this crap.

So lock up what you can (use crypto, VPNs, etc) and accept that you have no public privacy as a tradeoff for all the Information Age benefits. Behave as if you’re being watched, because you probably are. Nothing new for small-town folks, but the world too has become very small.
