I’m sorry I find the explanations here sufficiently vague & one sided. Its still not clear how deep Google is in my personal ecosystem. Is my phone collecting google data or my just apps or both & do other companies app share data with google.

There should be clear cost/payments associated with data usage. Why is google maps free? Very suspicious indeed! Data collection and internet usage shouldn’t be more opaque than the health care system... but it is by 100 fold!!! What a horrible system to try to defend.
