Nearly every ad you see online is tailored just for you. How does that work? We bought seven ads to find out. https://nyti.ms/2GKL7No pic.twitter.com/5DFJaoLhTm

Terrible isn’t it. Tracking people without their knowledge and agreement .... to profile them and target them like some #DataVampire lurking in shadowspic.twitter.com/uhQ1WuRuB5

News outlets are the worst for it across the board. They have no shame when it comes to using as platforms. One local station serves a lock up pop up scam ad frequently.

Three places I wish would stop chasing me, a bank I frequent, Staples, and eBay. I *have* to search Staples to find a baseline price before I'm allowed to order someplace cheaper. Does not help to keeps showing me items I just bought somewhere else. :D the bank is just creepy.

You didn't touch on the effect of class based advertising. For example, watch golf or tennis on TV. You'll get commercials explaining your need for retirement funds. Watch basketball, and get beer commercials.

thankfully no ads/sites can even see my browsing history. Makes me sad that people have been warned about intrusion & security exposure since the 90's and ignored every warning. Every single one.

Scary stuff! We’re working on a solution. We just launched as a privacy-focused advertising network that helps advertisers and publishers grow their business without tracking, collecting, or storing personal data. We’d love to talk to you! http://contextcue.com
