Think @sarahtgold at @projectsbyif would be a great person to talk to about what companies can, practically, do to design services that respect people's privacy

Odd launching spot for a project about
#privacy. "Given up" implies an informed consumer, which isn't the case. A decision to "trade away" privacy must necessarily be done "consciously" or it isn't consensual. THIS is where a conversation about privacy should begin;#consent.pic.twitter.com/dC1RZx4T0t

There's a problem with your polling. If you want to read the choices before you make a selection, the act of moving down puts a bar usually in my case one choice further than I am willing to go. If this is common, your data will be badly skewed

#NYTimes is wrong about privacy not being mentioned in the Constitution. What we call privacy today was a liberty in 1793. Privacy was all about what you did in the privy, and what transpired in that outhouse was considered unalienable and need not be in the Constitution.Thanks. The right to privacy can be mistaken for secrecy which in turn can make you look like you want to hide something, turning you into suspect. I appreciate that the nyt is tackling this important subject.

This is how totalitarian regimes act. The right to privacy makes you a "suspect"? Scary.

I’m doing nothing illegal or immoral. If I’m assaulted or need medical help, I have my phone and am on camera. Anonymity isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.
